Any event using more than $500 of university funds requires a contract.  If your organization is bringing a speaker or an event to campus that costs $500, you’ll need to see Nick Evans in the ORG office.  Only Nick can authorize those contracts—you cannot do it yourself.

Be careful not to enter into a verbal contract when working with an outside entity.  When speaking on the phone, be clear that you are gathering information, NOT offering a price.  Do not agree to anything verbally—only Nick can engage an outside entity in a contract on your behalf.
